Fred Pope, a dedicated member of the St. Joseph Parish community in Norman, Oklahoma, has been a pillar of faith and service since his retirement from the Voice of America in 1997. As one of the original board members, Fred has devoted his time to spreading authentic Catholic teaching throughout Oklahoma. Inspired by Deacon Larry Sousa, he became a passionate contributor to the "Good News Sunday" program in 2002, helping to present the richness of Catholic faith to listeners.
A lifelong learner, Fred deepens his faith by tuning into Oklahoma Catholic Radio. His favorite programs include Teresa Tomeo’s morning show, Father Ricardo’s 11:00 am message, and Dr. Ray Guarendi’s noon hour. He finds inspiration and fresh insights each day from Catholic Answers Live in the late afternoons, affirming his commitment to growing in knowledge and spiritual understanding.
